Delete your account

Last updated: September 25, 2026

This page explains how to delete your SpokenLeaf account and the data associated with it. SpokenLeaf (on the web and on Android) is developed by Infinite Source Agency Inc..

The short version: open app.spokenleaf.com/account in any browser, sign in, and choose Delete account & data. Your account and all of its server-side data are deleted immediately, and any subscription is cancelled. You don't need the Android app installed to do this.

1. How to delete your account

You can delete your account from the SpokenLeaf Android app or from any web browser — the steps are the same:

  1. Open the SpokenLeaf app, or go to app.spokenleaf.com/account in a web browser.
  2. Sign in with the email address for the account you want to delete.
  3. Open Account & plan (the Account page).
  4. Tap or click Delete account & data at the bottom of the page.
  5. Confirm. This cannot be undone.

Deletion happens straight away. You are signed out, and the notes stored on the device you used are cleared.

Forgot your password? Reset it first, then follow the steps above.

2. If you can't sign in (last resort)

Deleting your account yourself is the fastest and most secure way. Only if you can no longer sign in — and a password reset hasn't worked — can you ask us to delete it for you:

  • Email support@spokenleaf.com from the email address registered to the account. We will not act on a request sent from any other address, or on behalf of someone else.
  • We will reply to that address to confirm the request before deleting anything. Nothing is deleted until you confirm.
  • Once confirmed, we delete the account within 30 days and let you know when it's done.

3. What is deleted

When your account is deleted, we permanently delete:

  • Account & sign-in — your email address and authentication details.
  • Plan & subscription — your plan, subscription status, and any remaining transcription minutes. An active subscription is cancelled so you are not charged again, and your customer record and saved payment methods are removed from our payments provider (Stripe).
  • Transcription usage — the record of transcription minutes you have used.
  • Notes on the device you delete from — the notes, recordings, tasks, folders, and images stored in the app on that device.

4. What is kept, and for how long

Billing records required by law

If you ever paid for a subscription, Stripe and we may keep invoices and transaction records for as long as tax and accounting laws require (generally up to seven years). These records are not used for anything else.

Notes on your other devices

SpokenLeaf never stores your notes on our servers — they live only on your devices. We therefore can't reach notes on a phone or browser other than the one you deleted from. To remove them, uninstall the Android app or clear SpokenLeaf's site data in that browser. If you want to keep a copy of your notes, export them before deleting your account.

Data we never keep

Audio sent for transcription is auto-deleted by AssemblyAI after about a day, and text sent for AI insights is not retained by Perplexity, whether or not you delete your account. Crash reports are not linked to your account.

5. Deleting some data without deleting your account

Your notes are yours to manage directly: delete any note, recording, or image from within the app, and it is removed from your device immediately. To cancel a subscription without deleting your account, choose Manage billing on the Account page.
